7 Reasons Iran is an International Menace

by Joseph Klein

The Islamic Republic of Iran is run by evil megalomaniacs, starting with the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. They are intent on hastening the arrival of the 12th Imam, the latest in the succession of imams believed by some Islamic Shiite fundamentalists to be the direct descendants of Prophet Muhammad and the carriers of his message on earth.

The 12th Imam, named Muhammad al-Mahdi, is said to have been born in present-day Iraq in 869 AD and is still alive, waiting to come out of hiding at the appropriate time. Hence, his alternative name: the Hidden Iman.

Apparently this Imam ventured into a cave at a young age, hidden by the Gate of Occultation. Once al-Mahdi emerges, there will be peace in the world with Islamic justice becoming the ruling system across the globe.

There are just two catches. First, since Khamenei and Ahmadinejad believe that they are the 12th Imam’s advance scouts, so to speak, any opposition to their rule is considered heretical interference with the will of Allah and his Prophet Muhammad. Thus, they justify whatever it will take – beatings, jail, torture, and executions – to stamp out any ‘infidel-inspired’ dissent.

Second, Al-Mahdi will not grace the world with his presence until there is a bloodbath first. According to Shia Muslim believers, the 12th Imam will return just before the end of the world, preceded by several years of horrendous world chaos. Before there can be peace and justice under sharia law, there must first be war and chaos. The Imam will force people to convert to Islam or be beheaded, ruling over the Arabs and world for 7 years before finally bringing harmony and total peace under one world religion, Islam, with Jesus supposedly at his side as his lieutenant.

While there are aspects that are reverse mirror images to the Christian vision of the Apocalypse, there are no Christian believers of that vision in government power today with the intent and means to help hasten the vision along, as there are today in Iran.

Even the extremist leader of the Islamic takeover of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini, outlawed the main group that advanced the idea of the Mahdi’s imminent arrival. But now their true believers, Khamenei and Ahmadinejad, are in charge.

Normally, we wouldn’t worry so much about such crazy ravings coming out of a region that is routinely the source of insanity. But in this case, we had better worry because Iran is getting ever closer to achieving its ambition of becoming a nuclear power and is flexing its muscles all over the Middle East and as close to the United States as Venezuela ,where Iran is reported to be planning to ship missiles and helping dictator Hugo Chavez with his efforts to develop a nuclear program of his own.

An attack on Israel would be one way to bring the chaos on as the chain of events following such an attack would spiral out of control. Short of such an all out attack, Iran could mine the Straits of Hormuz or block the Suez Canal, either of which would cause catastrophic damage to the global economy and surely lead to retaliatory actions that again could spin out of control.

The 12th Imam is to rule for seven years before bringing about the pure global Islamic state. Thus, in keeping with the symbolism of the number seven , I present seven reasons why I am scared the radical Islamist regime under the leadership of the two evil 12th Imam believers, supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, may engulf us all in bloody chaos.

7. Ahmadinijad says that the 12th Imam is managing the current global revolution and that he has literally seen the light.

President Ahmadinejad on the Iranian Revolution of 1979:

Our revolution’s main mission is to pave the way for the reappearance of the 12th Imam, the Mahdi

Ahmadinejad loves the revolutions spreading today from Egypt to other parts of the Middle East for the same reason. In fact, he sees them as signs that the day of the 12th Imam’s arrival is getting closer:

The final move has begun. We are in the middle of a global revolution managed by the dear 12th Imam. A great awakening is unfolding. One can witness the hand of the Imam in the managing of it

Ahmadinejad gave the world a taste of his 12th Imam vision a few years ago when he claimed that when he delivered his speech at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2005, he sensed a green light around him, when he uttered the words “in the name of God,” and that the attention of the world leaders in the audience was unblinkingly focused upon him. When someone present at the UN told him that a light surrounded him while he was delivering his speech to the General Assembly, the Iranian president added that he also sensed it.

Ahmadinejad claimed that when he began saying ‘In the name of God the almighty and merciful,’

someone saw a light around me, and I was placed inside this aura. I felt it myself. I felt the atmosphere suddenly change, and for those 27 or 28 minutes, the leaders of the world did not blink, they were rapt. It seemed as if a hand was holding them there and had opened their eyes to receive the message from the Islamic republic

Also in 2005, Ahmadinejad met with the French foreign minister, Philippe Douste-Blazy, and asked him:

Do you know why we should wish for chaos at any price?

He then answered his own question:

Because after chaos, we can see the greatness of Allah.

In 2007, Ahmadinejad told the United Nations that the era of Western predominance would soon be replaced by a “bright future” heralded by the triumphant return of the 12th Imam:

Without any doubt, the Promised One, who is the ultimate Saviour, will come. The pleasing aroma of justice will permeate the whole world.

The aroma so “pleasing” to Ahmadinejad is the smell of death and destruction that will be necessary to lure the 12th Iman out of hiding and protect him.

6. Iran’s Supreme Leader Says He Represents Prophet Muhammad on Earth

While President Ahmadinejad may be feeling the presence of the 12th Imam, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reportedly issued a fatwah demanding that he be obeyed as the earthly “deputy” of both the Prophet Muhammad and the 12th Imam. In fact, last July, this supreme leader said that he actually met with the 12th Imam.

Whether the Imam whispered something in Khamenei’s ear predicting the revolution in Egypt, Khamenei has not said. But, just like Ahmadinejad, Khamenei is delighted so long as his own people do not get any ideas about rebelling. He sees it as the next stage of the “Islamic awakening” that began with the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979.

Here is an excerpt from Khamenei’s February 4, 2011 Friday sermon extolling the Islamic virtues of the Egyptian revolution, as translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute:

In the Islamic world today, a great and crucial event is developing, an event that could tip the balance of arrogance in this region in the favor of Islam and the peoples. This event can restore honor and glory to the Arab and Islamic peoples, and can wipe from their faces the dust of decades of oppression and humiliation inflicted upon these noble peoples by the West and America. But it would be a mistake to assume that this is the required outcome. A collaborating regime is not toppled when its visible leaders leave the country. If these leaders are replaced by others from behind the scenes, then nothing has changed. This is a trap set for the people. During the great Islamic Revolution in Iran, they tried time and again to make our people fall into such a trap. But the awareness of the people and of its great divine leader allowed them to thwart the enemies’ scheme and to continue along the path to the end. The awakening of the Muslim Egyptian people is an Islamic liberation movement. On behalf of the Iranian people and the revolutionary Iranian government, I salute the Egyptian and Tunisian peoples, asking Allah to grant them a complete victory. Your awakening makes me feel proud.

5. Freedom Fighters in Iran are Attacked as “a dead corpse’

The Iranian regime has brutally suppressed dissent against its theocratic tyranny through beatings, mass arrests, torture and executions.

In June 2009, when protesters filed the streets to decry the fraudulent re-election of President Ahmadinejad, the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei – the self-proclaimed deputy to the 12th Imam and his spokesman on earth – gave a sermon appealing “to the holy Imams…to give us more faith” and giving his “greetings to Mahdi (the Hidden Imam).” Then, he issued a warning to the opposition leaders and protesters to accept the election results or face the consequences:

political party leaders should be very careful about what they say and do… if political elite want to fix someone at the cost of another thing to BREAK the law they would be responsible for the bloodshed…don’t allow the enemies to destroy and ruin the celebration of our elections.

The intimidation succeeded in tamping down the dissent but Khamenei was taking no chances. In January 2010, two political prisoners, Jaafar Kazemi and Mohammad Ali Haj-Aqai, were executed in Tehran’s Evin prison upon the order of Khamenei. In fact, the majority of the 89 people executed in January are said by Iranian dissidents to be anti-government activists, not drug smugglers as the government claims. This included Zahra Bahrami, a 46-year-old Dutch-Iranian woman, detained during the 2009 protests.

When protests threatened to break out again in February in sympathy with the Egyptian street protests, the Revolutionary Guards warned opposition leaders not to stage a rally after the anniversary of Iran’s Islamic revolution. Its commander, Hossein Hamedani, said on February 10, 2011:

The seditionists (opposition leaders) are nothing but a dead corpse and we will strongly confront any of their movements.

When thousands of Iranians ignored the warnings and took to the streets anyway, the Iranian regime cracked down hard, denying its own people the same right of assembly and free speech that Khamenei and Ahmadinejad had lauded in Egypt when they tried to spin the Egypt protests as a continuation of the Iranian Islamic revolution.

In the West, we tend to think that suppressing the ordinary Iranian people wanting to be free, like demonstrators in Egypt and other parts of the Middle East, gives the lie to the Iranian leaders’ expression of solidarity with the aspirations of those demonstrators outside of Iran. But that would be a profound misunderstanding of the perverted minds of President Ahmadinejad, the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and the Revolutionary Guard thugs who help keep them in power. It all goes back to the hastening of the day that the 12th Imam is to arrive and save the world from the ‘infidels.’

4. Wipe ‘Little Satan’ Off the Map

Driven by his 12th Imam pathology, Ahmadinejad is obsessed with the goal of destroying the Zionist enemy.

On October 26, 2005, Ahmadinejad appeared at a conference entitled “A World without Zionism.” Among other things he said:

Our dear Imam (referring to Ayatollah Khomeini) said that the occupying regime must be wiped off the map for great justice and this was a very wise statement… I do not doubt that the new wave which has begun in our dear Palestine and which today we are also witnessing in the Islamic world is a wave of morality which has spread all over the Islamic world. Very soon, this stain of disgrace [i.e. Israel] will vanish from the center of the Islamic world – and this is attainable.

In October 2006, Ahmadinejad said that Israel no longer had any reason to exist and would soon disappear:

This regime, thanks to God, has lost the reason for its existence

He went on to threaten any country that supports the Jewish state:

You imposed a group of terrorists … on the region. It is in your own interest to distance yourself from these criminals… This is an ultimatum. Don’t complain tomorrow. Nations will take revenge

In February 2010, Ahmadinejad told Syrian President Bashar Assad in a phone conversation reported by Reuters citing Iran’s state broadcaster that the “Zionist regime

must be resisted with full force to put an end to it once and for all

A day later he announced that Iran had produced its first highly enriched uranium.

As part of his justification for eliminating the Jewish state of Israel, Ahmadinejad has spent considerable time seeking to delegitimize it.

On December 8, 2005, Ahmadinejad, in one of his frequent Holocaust-denying statements, said:

if the Europeans claim that the Zionists were suppressed during the Second World War, they can place a part of Europe at their disposal

Ayatollah Khamenei agrees with Ahmadinejad. In a speech on April 24, 2001, for example, Khamenei said:

There are documents showing close collaboration of the Zionists with the Nazi Germany, and exaggerated numbers relating to the Jewish Holocaust were fabricated to solicit the sympathy of world public opinion, lay the ground for the occupation of Palestine, and to justify the atrocities of the Zionists.

If Israel is illegitimate to begin with, nobody will miss the Zionist enemy when it is eliminated except the cursed Jews. Khamenei and Ahmadinejad look at Israel as standing in the way of their vision of the return of the 12th Imam. Hence, one way or the other, the “little Satan” must be destroyed.

3. Death to the “Great Satan”

Destroying Israel is a necessary but not sufficient step to hasten the 12th Imam’s arrival. The “Great Satan” – the United States – must also be brought down.

In December 2009, Ahmadinejad accused the United States of doing all it could to prevent the return of the 12th Imam:

We have documented proof that they [U.S. leaders] believe that a descendant of the prophet of Islam will raise in these parts [the Middle East] and he will dry the roots of all injustice in the world. They have devised all these plans to prevent the coming of the Hidden Imam because they know that the Iranian nation is the one that will prepare the ground for his coming and will be the supporters of his rule

Ayatollah Khamenei linked Israel and the United states together as the mortal enemies of the 12th Imam and declared through a spokesman in August 2009:

We have to train honest forces that can stop the obstacles that may hinder the coming of the Mahdi like the United States and Israel

In response to the most recent street protests in Iran, Khamenei blamed the United States and Israel. As translated by MEMRI, he told his supporters on February 15, 2011:

We say to the Americans and to the Zionists that we consider them to be the real instigators of the fitna. We will never forget who the main enemy is. We continue to shout passionately: Death to America, death to Israel.

Aside from such slogans and threats to retaliate fiercely against the United States and Israel for any military actions taken against Iran, the regime has been taking a more provocative posture against the United States recently, almost as if to lure the United States into a conflict.

For example, Iranian Armed Forces deputy chief of staff for cultural affairs and defense publicity Brig.-Gen. Masoud Jazayeri said on February 16, 2011:

The U.S. and White House will be shamefaced soon because of their measures

Jazayeri made the remarks after U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently claimed that the U.S. would stand with anti-government protestors in Iran, predicting that popular waves and confrontations would come out in the U.S. soon.

As a major step towards such a confrontation, Iran is progressing with plans to establish a nuclear beach head in Latin America, bringing the danger of conflict much closer to the United States homeland. Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez has been developing a nuclear program for two years with the collaboration of Iran. Venezuela is also reportedly helping Iran obtain uranium in apparent violation of the UN Security Council resolutions aimed at stopping Iran’s illegal nuclear weapons program.

Iran is also planning to place medium-range missiles on Venezuelan soil. Under agreements reached between Chavez and Ahmadinejad , Iran will be permitted to establish a military base manned by Iranian missile officers, soldiers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Venezuelan missile officers. Many US cities will be within range from Venezuela, even with short-medium range missiles.

When President John Kennedy faced down the Soviet Union during the 1962 Cuban missile crisis, he was dealing with an adversary whom did not relish the prospect of self-destruction in the event that a nuclear war broke out. Unless the United States takes preventative action to stop the establishment of Iranian-built and manned missile sites in our backyard, Iran will be in a position to ignite the war and ensuing chaos that are precisely what its leaders want to hasten the arrival of the 12th Imam.

2. Iran uses terrorists to sow chaos.

Iran is the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism, providing funding, weapons, training, and sanctuary to numerous terrorist groups in the Middle East and beyond. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is a principal arm that the Iranian regime uses to support terrorist groups such as Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and Hamas.

As summarized by the U.S. State Department in its 2009 Country Reports on Terrorism:

Iran’s financial, material, and logistic support for terrorist and militant groups throughout the Middle East and Central Asia had a direct impact on international efforts to promote peace, threatened economic stability in the Gulf, jeopardized the tenuous peace in southern Lebanon, and undermined the growth of democracy

The Iranian regime created Hezbollah (which means Party of God, in Arabic). It is an Islamist Shiite militia based in Lebanon, which it for all intents and purposes controls today.

President Ahmadinejad sent a greeting card to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah to mark the first anniversary of the 2006 war with Israel in Lebanon, calling the head of the Islamist terrorist group one of the soldiers of “Mahdi.” Ahmadinejad went on to tell the leader of the terrorist organization that Iran was sponsoring:

The Imam Mahdi carries the flag of humanity, support, and guidance for the faithful.

Since the 2006 war in Lebanon, Iran has helped re-arm its terrorist surrogate with as many as 40,000 rockets able to cover entire territory of Israel.

1. Nuclear Armageddon

The thought of Khamenei and Ahmadinejad, who want to hasten the 12th Imam’s return and armed with nuclear weapons, possibly using some themselves and transferring some to their terrorist soldiers of “Mahdi” is truly frightening.

But that is where we are headed if nothing is done to stop them.

The Iranian regime’s leaders tell us that all the resources they are devoting to their nuclear development program is for peaceful purposes. Ali Khamenei even issued a fatwah declaring against the development, production, stockpiling and use of nuclear weapons.

But despite their propaganda meant to fool the gullible, the regime is moving ever forward to achieving its ambition of developing a nuclear arms capability.

Actions speak louder than words. Even the United Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has lost patience in the regime’s deceptions.

In its first report of 2010, following the departure in November 2009 of former IAEA head Mohamed ElBaradei, whom had tried to censure information embarrassing to the Iranian regime, the IAEA expressed concern on the military dimensions of the Iranian regime’s nuclear projects including:

concerns about the possible existence in Iran of past or current undisclosed activities related to the development of a nuclear payload for a missile. These alleged activities consist of a number of projects and sub-projects, covering nuclear and missile related aspects, run by military related organizations

The IAEA expressed unresolved concerns about Iran’s activities related to nuclear warheads and detonators, nuclear explosion technology, persistent violations of resolutions by the UN Security Council against the activities on nuclear sites such as Qom, Natanz, Darkhovin and Arak, and involvement of the regime’s military organs in nuclear projects.

In its December 2010 report , the IAEA warned:

Based on the Agency’s analysis of all the information available to it, the Agency remains concerned about the possible existence in Iran of past or current undisclosed nuclear related activities involving military related organizations, including activities related to the development of a nuclear payload for a missile

As if to confirm the IAEA’s worst fears about the involvement of Iran’s military related organizations in its nuclear programs, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appointed Fereydoun Abbasi Davani, who survived a bomb attack on November 29, 2010, as director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran. Abbasi Davani is a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and one of the most senior figures in its nuclear weapons program.

Davani was named specifically in a United Nations sanctions resolution as “involved in nuclear or ballistic missile activities.” According to the National Council of Resistance of Iran, he was in charge of the scheme to deceive the inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

As a member of the Revolutionary Guard, Davani is part of the Iranian regime’s elite military and enforcement arm, which reports directly to Supreme Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei and has expanded its powers under President Ahmadinejad. The Revolutionary Guard’s leadership shares their 12th Imam beliefs. For example, in September , 2010, Mojtaba Zolnour, deputy representative of Iran’s supreme leader in the Revolutionary Guard, has pointed to “little Satan” Israel as a chief obstacle, warning that “Zionists” are waiting for the Hidden Imam to appear to kill him.

It is this circle of 12th Imam believers – Khamenei, Ahmadinejad, and their Revolutionary Guard – that will control Iran’s nuclear arsenal.

Whether it is their threats against the United States, Israel, or their own people protesting for individual freedom, Iran’s leaders today are committed to removing all obstacles, by whatever means are necessary, to pave the way for the 12th Imam. Crazy as this is, that is what they truly believe. With nuclear weapons in their hands and in the hands of their terrorist surrogates, the world faces a very scary future.

May the Almighty G-d have mercy upon us all, and my the eyes of the people be opened to the impostor and Islamic Trojan presently seated in the White House. Those in the Congress and Senate need to realize they have not been with the people, nor have they performed their sacred duty to remove corruption in government. Washington DC has became a cesspool of corruptions, and much change must take place in order to save our once proud and noble Republic. The clock is ticking, and there is not much time left before a total hell is released upon our nation and much of the world.
